Vietnam’s seafood industry continued its strong momentum in September 2025. Pangasius exports reached nearly USD 1.6 billion (+9%), led by China, the US, EU, and Brazil, with CPTPP markets like Japan showing impressive growth. Shrimp exports hit USD 3.4 billion (+22%), the highest in three years, supported by strong demand from China, the EU, and CPTPP markets despite U.S. tariff risks. Tuna exports totaled USD 705 million (-3%), but value-added and ready-to-eat products rose, especially in CPTPP and Middle East–Africa markets. Rising raw material costs and fingerling shortages remain key challenges, but overall, Vietnam’s seafood sector continues to strengthen through market diversification and product innovation.
