HGF'S BREAKING NEWS NO. 02, NOV. 2025
In November 2025, Vietnam’s seafood sector showed steady momentum as pangasius exports reached USD 1.8 billion (+9%) in the first 10 months, supported by strong growth in Japan, China–Hong Kong, and CPTPP markets. Shrimp maintained stable raw material prices amid tightening supply of large sizes, while competition in China intensified as Ecuador and India expanded low-priced offerings. The tuna sector saw mixed performance, with solid gains in the EU, CPTPP and Egypt despite declines in Israel and the U.S. Meanwhile, the global surimi market continued its upward trajectory, driven by demand for convenient, affordable protein and high-grade value-added products, though sustainability and raw material fluctuations remain challenges.
