HGF'S BREAKING NEWS NO. 02, DEC. 2025

By the end of November 2025, Vietnam’s seafood exports continued to grow steadily, led by pangasius exceeding USD 2 billion (+9%) and shrimp reaching USD 4.3 billion (+21%), with strong demand from China–Hong Kong, CPTPP, the EU, and Japan. Pangasius benefited from stable recovery and improved raw material conditions, while shrimp remained the key growth driver despite U.S. trade pressures and supply risks from flooding. Tuna exports reached USD 856 million (-5%), maintaining a presence in over 110 markets, with opportunities emerging in value-added products in Europe. Overall, diversification, processing capacity, and value-added strategies continue to support the resilience of Vietnam’s seafood industry.
