Vietnam’s seafood exports showed stable recovery in the first nine months of 2025. Pangasius exports reached nearly USD 1.6 billion (+9%), with strong growth from CPTPP (+35%) and Brazil (+45%) offsetting slower demand in China and the U.S. Shrimp exports continued to lead with major markets China, EU, and Japan maintaining double-digit growth, while India’s tariff challenges created short-term opportunities for Vietnam. Surimi exports rose sharply (+26%), driven by Asia and the EU, highlighting Vietnam’s growing role in the value-added seafood supply chain. Swimming crab exports also increased slightly, with strong performance in the EU (+161%) and CPTPP (+28%). Overall, the industry is navigating global challenges through diversification, sustainability, and innovation.
